After another restful night in Byrne's Mal Dua House after the pony show, we wandered back to Birr.  This time, though, instead of taking a more direct route from Clifden down to Galway, we wandered back around past the Kylemore Abbey and then down a country road through the gap between the Twelve Bens and the Maumturks.
