The cloud cover was thick on our drive back to Birr, and it rained occasionally.  On our way out of Clifden we backtracked a little to the Kylemore Abbey (from whose car park this picture was taken) and then along a back road through the Kylemore Pass in the mountains to the town of Recess on the main Galway road.
