The carriage entrance to the Demesne. The gates were designed (and forged!) by Mary Rosse, wife of the Third Earl of Rosse (designer and builder of the great telescope.) She also coined their slogan, "Pro Deo et Patria ad Astra": For God and Country to the Stars.
