We stopped several places along the Glacier Point road on the way back to the Valley from Washburn Point. At each place we were struck strongly by two things: first, the beauty of the high country on the small scale (as opposed to the always-present grandeur of the vistas), and, second, by the utter absence of people -- it was as though we had that part of the park entirely to ourselves. This is Bridalveil Creek a few miles above its precipitous and famous fall.
