A After the hike to Vernal Fall, we drove up to the Valley rim on the Glacier Point side. We stopped at Washburn Point -- close to Glacier Point, but with a significantly different perspective from the one we see in myriad photos from the more famous Glacier Point. Washburn Point affords a remarkable perspective on Half Dome: straight along the glacial slice that makes HD such a famous landmark. This is a panorama from Washburn Point that includes (from left) the Half Dome mountain, Vernal Fall, and Nevada Fall.
