Our primary purpose in this Yosemite trip was to fulfill a goal Diane had for seven years, ever since her series of major orthopedic surgeries began: to hike to Vernal Fall in Yosemite. That has been a major icon for her since 1997 -- she would believe that all the pain and other sacrifices were worthwhile when she could stand on the Vernal Fall bridge over the Merced again. Here she is setting out to do just that.
