Oolie, our ten-year-old "tuxedo kitty" (domestic black-and-white shorthair), is a thug. Alnitak, our four-year-old Maine Coon cat, is a powerful force. In the process of asserting the logical pecking order among our felines, Alnitak injured Oolie's left ear, which required surgery this summer to repair it. This is Oolie with ear being repaired; repair to his ego is, sadly, not possible. He is no longer the alpha kitty.
