The Parsons’ banner, three leopard heads on a crimson field, which (as per tradition) flies when the Earl is in residence.  According to a daily talk for visitors at the telescope, that’s year-round now but used to be only two months of the year back when the family owned several estates in Yorkshire and Sussex and a few townhouses in London.
