A closer view southward.
While we were there, the telescope was closed off by temporary fencing (clearly visible in the background) due to a dispute among various agencies concerning a malfunction of one of its newly-installed systems.  Lord Rosse suggested that I breach the barrier after closing time, when no one was around, to investigate the restored wonder more closely.
