When we wandered off onto a side road into the bog, we found evidence of a self-appointed caretaker of a couple of sites of historical import therein: the crash-landing site of Alcock and Brown's first transatlantic flight in 1915 and Marconi's pioneering intercontinental radio communications site.
This is one of that caretaker's laminated signs along the bog road.
