This brick bridge was built in the early 1600's. It crosses the River Camcor where it is the boundary between Counties Offaly (where the Bothy and the Birr Castle lie) and Tipperary (where some of the Demesne's parklands are). Since those two counties are in different provinces, Diane and Miss Kitty here are not only treading from Offaly to Tipperary, but they are also marching from Leinster to Munster.
