We had planned our visit to Ireland meticulously for five years, and thought that we had no surprises in store for our "home base", the cottage called the Bothy on the Birr Castle Grounds.
Hah.
Nobody told us that the cottage came with one of the most magical of cats: a black-and-white "tuxedo kitty".
